At the University of New Haven, we re-imagined what the concept of career development should look like and created an approach that is integrative instead of merely transactional. That means future career success is built right into your entire academic experience.
It also means that everyone in the University is involved in Career Development, not just a few dedicated staff members. It really does take a village, in our opinion, to sow the seeds of a successful career — from faculty members who design career-focused curricula, to Resident Assistants who are intensely engaged in setting up career workshops and seminars, to the many campus events where career development is always a presence, to career fairs that are discipline and major specific. And that’s only a small sample of what you can expect.
For undergraduates, graduate students, alumni, and employers, Career Development is more than an office at the University of New Haven. It’s a philosophy, incorporated in our values — it’s our culture.
